Turn Right And Plunge2145 viewsAfter leaving the upper falls the river enters a narrow, short gorge, turns right and plunges into the lower gorge.

Is it a rough hike? Just plain fun all the way down and back up, maybe moderate. Left my walker on top.

Almost Top2145 viewsIf one looks very carefully there is another top part of Toms Creek Falls in thelaurel bushes.

This makes Toms Creek Falls measure more than 100 ft tall.

Bottom Of Bowl2144 viewsThe bottom of South Harpers Creek Falls takes on the appearance of a giant stone bowl with one side torn out by nature.

Due to the steep descent to this area I rated it a *** (3) in difficulty. Not a place to go in wet weather.

Bright Sunnny day at Chestnut2138 viewsOne of those rare days of 70^ F, bright Sun and Crew Members Lou, Bol'Dar, RAT, spent on snake infested Chestnut Cove Branch Falls.

Not a good day for photography but, with this crew, who cares, there will be cloudy days for cameras but, not Oldalbatross.

Fizzz2137 viewsThis one is on Mineral Creek. Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, just South of Craggy Gardens, along Stony Fork Road

Photo perfect, cloudy day. Picnic right beside the creek with BJ after which we sat off up the creek. All these cascades and a beautiful falls are easily accessible for even a novice hiker.

Down Low2137 viewsStill a little sun to the right of the falls. Probably should have used a variable density filter on that area.
