Bright Sunnny day at Chestnut2244 viewsOne of those rare days of 70^ F, bright Sun and Crew Members Lou, Bol'Dar, RAT, spent on snake infested Chestnut Cove Branch Falls.

Not a good day for photography but, with this crew, who cares, there will be cloudy days for cameras but, not Oldalbatross.

Bottom Of Bowl2238 viewsThe bottom of South Harpers Creek Falls takes on the appearance of a giant stone bowl with one side torn out by nature.

Due to the steep descent to this area I rated it a *** (3) in difficulty. Not a place to go in wet weather.

Cabin creek Falls2235 viewsCabin Creek Falls is another SW Virginia falls located right beside the road.

What makes it different is the size of the "step" rocks located in the near field, abut eight feet high, forming the steps all the way up the falls.
