This site is dedicated to waterfalls, mountains, an old aviators memories, with lots of poetic liberties, some just plain made up, and interesting places to visit.
Wall To Wall Waterfall1634 viewsThe falls at Rock Island, TN are just that, wall to wall.
Due to the leakage from up river through the limestone and back into the lower river there is literally about a mile of waterfalls.
Little Laurel Branch1634 viewsLittle Laurel is almost dry as it empties into Watauga Lake.
Only reason for venturng to the falls was to try some new camera filters.
On High1634 viewsDon't let the description of 50 ft fool you. From this point it is abut 150 ft to the river level below but, the trail down in excellent.
With a little exploring and milling around plan on a four mile hike.

Falls 1A1632 views Falls 1-6 are located on Clinch River State road 627 downstream from Spears Ferry or US 23. None appear to be wet weather falls and one measured more than 150 ft.
This is where you take the old folks, like me, and they do not even leave the car to see the falls.
There are several more small falls we did not take the time to stop and photograph, maybe next time.
