HIGHLANDER BBQ1894 viewsIf you pass through Roan Mountain, TN and don't stop, you will never know the delight of Pig Wings.

I confess, my Hiking Pal, RAT, ate the Pig Wings, I ate the best BBQ chicken money can buy.

Besides, these are simply nice folks. When I ordered Possum Heather politely informed me that due to a large order they were out of possum.

Glad they were out of possum but, I kept Dr. Chang happy and ate the chicken. They have several sauces and Eastern NC vinegar is hard to beat but, their own sauce is better.

OA standing at the base of The Great Wall 1893 viewsJust to give an idea of how big The Great Wall Of Panthertown is I stood at its base. THe photographer here, Barclay, placed me in peril below the wall in a rock fall area.

Roaming Knob Camping1887 viewsThe wall is about 300 ft high and the Roaming Knob, shown here camping with family members, is about 5 ft tall.

Go there in Winter, it is worth the moderate hike. Summer brings lots of leaves to block ones view.
