Big Falls2150 viewsMount Hardy Falls is measured at over 100 ft and even though it was a dry spell still had pretty good water.

This is a MST trail falls and is not hard to get to but, has some laurels and of course slick rocks.

Beginning and End2148 viewsCumberland, MD where the Great Allegheny Passage begins and the C&O Tow Path ends.

A truly neat city, especially downtown.

Anywhere I can sit outside, eat good "Q", wash it down with a beer and get BJ stitched up from her latest bike accident, is a good lace to be in the Summertime.

Turn Right And Plunge2148 viewsAfter leaving the upper falls the river enters a narrow, short gorge, turns right and plunges into the lower gorge.

Is it a rough hike? Just plain fun all the way down and back up, maybe moderate. Left my walker on top.

Bottom Of Bowl2147 viewsThe bottom of South Harpers Creek Falls takes on the appearance of a giant stone bowl with one side torn out by nature.

Due to the steep descent to this area I rated it a *** (3) in difficulty. Not a place to go in wet weather.
