OA WORLD2341 viewsIt's hard when friends want to see a particular waterfalls and one must put up with this blighted scene on the way in.

Some body has to be Oaldalbatross. :)

On High1913 viewsDon't let the description of 50 ft fool you. From this point it is abut 150 ft to the river level below but, the trail down in excellent.

With a little exploring and milling around plan on a four mile hike.

Trick1907 viewsWaterfalls don't really look like this. A local photographer is confident enough in his own work to share this trick.

Rotate the polarized filter for the least glare. Close the aperture as much as possible.(I use f-11) With the shutter speed as low as possible, (shoot for a full second if possible), start experimenting until you get just the photo you are looking for. I prefer mine a little dark so I can process them using Picasa 3. The silky look is directly tied to shutter speed and a cloudy day doesn't

From The top1792 viewsThis view of Coon Den if grom the bottom looking straight up.

Coon Den is near Hampton, TN. Just ask any local for Dennis Cove, go over the mountain, pass the Appalachian Trail and keep looking on your right for the trail going up. It is well marked and just about a half mile.

Dry2580 viewsDon't drive to Big South Fork to photograph this falls unless there has been significant rainfall.

I would classify this as a wet weather falls.

That said, Needle Arch is just down the trail, less than half mile.

Squibb Creek Upper Falls **2466 viewsThis seems to be the upper most falls on Squibb Creek but, that could be a geriatrics view.

Lets one practice creek crossing, if you like that sort of thing.

Top Of Squibb Creek Falls lower falls **2505 viewsLou and I took the hike up Squibb Creek after a night of heavy rain. If your thing is creek crossing this is for you.

The round trip is about five miles and with the water level high and a trail not much different than the creek, a grand time was had by all.

We found getting to the bottom of the falls, with the high water, was a little risky hence the top photos.

I recommend this trip just for the fantastic cascades below the Falls.

Dick's Creek Falls (lower) **2497 viewsThis Falls is one of the prettier small waterfalls in the area of Limestone Cove.

I only rate it as ** because of the two mile hike, one way, and the mud holes from vehicles.
